Nicki Capozzi was replaced by former Anthrax drummer Greg D'Angelo, and Felix Robinson was replaced by bassist Dave Spitz (brother of Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz). Elektra was unhappy with the final recording, and after refusing to release the album, terminated the band's contract. Both Capozzi and Robinson soon left the band. They decided to put together a new band and recruited drummer Nicki Capozzi and bassist Felix Robinson (formerly of Angel) and named the group White Lion.White Lion was signed by Elektra Records in 1984 and recorded their debut album Fight to Survive.

The new White Lion released a live album in 2005 and a brand new studio album Return of the Pride in 2008.After moving from Denmark to Spain and then New York City, vocalist Mike Tramp (formerly of the bands Mabel,Studs and Danish Lions) met Staten Island guitarist Vito Bratta (formerly of Dreamer) in 1983. White Lion disbanded in 1992 and not long after their first compilation album, The Best of White Lion was released.Mike Tramp reformed White Lion with all new musicians in 1999 and again following a failed attempt to reform the original line up and several legal issues in 2004. 3 hit "When the Children Cry" from their second album, the double platinum selling Pride. The band continued their success with their third album, Big Game which achieved Gold status and their fourth album Mane Attraction which included a supporting tour. Mainly active in the 1980s and early 1990s, releasing their debut album Fight to Survive in 1985. White Lion is a Danish/American rock band that was formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish vocalist Mike Tramp and American guitarist Vito Bratta. However, this is not an essential release and I only recommend this to White Lion completist.White Lion - Fight To Survive (1985) (Rock Candy Remastered 2014) A small mistake or two is simply forgivable and hats up to Jamie Law and the new line-ups for playing tight. I would say, for a live album in a club, this one is averagely enjoyable and they did a good job of recreating a nostalgic atmosphere. Some of the songs offered a different composition such as "Love Don't Come Easy" and "When The Children Cry", but the rest of them were played quite similar to the studio albums, only this time, they added a dominant keyboard sound, which also served an important role of backing up the harmonic rhythm of Law's guitar play.

Jamie Law, the Australian guitarist, surprisingly handled the guitar section very well. Tramp's voice still sounded the same, even though sometimes it felt like he didn't want (or unable) to reach the high note anymore.

In this double-discs release, Tramp's White Lion brings back the classic tunes from their four official albums with a crystal clear sound production which has been carefully mixed by Michael Wagener.

Rocking The USA" was recorded live in Mar-Feb 2005, when the resurrected White Lion with the new line-up toured with Enuff Z'Nuff across America. After all ,this album is not at all as bad as some people are saying about it!In fact,on this album there are excellent versions, different versions, of some of the most famous WL songs! And,when I say it's different, believe me,it really is!Tramp's voice is excellent,as usual, and the guys behind are doing an excellent job! We,the true WL fans,we certainly have in our mind the original versions of the songs, but for open minded WL fans, this album is a sort of BEST OF,or classic WL songs revisited!I really like the manner how a song,no matter which one ,can have many aspects and how a clever and adventurous vision can give to a song a new charm and identity! And I think,I strongly think that Tramp is a wizzard in the way how he managed to,practically, change the identity of some of the most famous WL songs-but,definitelly-in a right direction! So,pay attention to an unknown album and you'll discover thet WHITE LION songs are unforgetable and a good song, will always be a good song!An xcellent idea and strong 4 stars for a beautiful album loaded with excellent compositions of one of the most important American glam metal bands in the 80's and 90's.!
